About Halina and Matthew
Matthew and Halina's journey together began in February 2022, when they first connected online. Matthew's work on the M62 brought him to Huddersfield, just a short distance from Halina.
During their conversations online Halina’s mention of a "language barrier between them" initially led Matthew to believe her English wasn’t going to be very good, given her Polish surname. However, he soon discovered that she meant that the real obstacle was understanding his thick South Shields accent! This misunderstanding only added to the charm and humour of their relationship. Halina often teases Matthew about his accent and the quirky things he says, but Matthew doesn’t let her get away with it. He gives her as good as he gets, firing back with witty Yorkshire remarks of his own.
Their initial meeting was a casual dinner at The Nags Head pub, where Matthew's appetite for Halina's food proved to be a foreshadowing of their future together – a lifetime of shared meals and laughter.
Following their first date, they embarked on a romantic drive, exploring the breathtaking landscapes of the Yorkshire Moors (Those Who Know, Know). After getting to know each other more this whirlwind romance led to Matthew moving to Huddersfield to be with Halina.
Through countless adventures and shared experiences, their love has grown stronger.
Matthew proposed to Halina on their second anniversary at the same beautiful spot they visited on their first date, marking the beginning of a lifetime together. They can't wait to celebrate their love with you!

Questions and Answers
What if I do not RSVP in time?
Unfortunately, we won't be able to accommodate you if you RSVP late. We will need to provide our vendors and the venue with the exact guest count by February 2025. Whilst we will send out reminders as well as send out invitations early, please RSVP as soon as possible.
How do I RSVP?
Please RSVP on this website. If you have any problems, please contact us directly and we will do this on your behalf.
Can I bring a date or a plus-one?
We are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on our wedding invitation. If you receive a plus-one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Please respect our wishes, thank you for your understanding.
Are children invited to the wedding?
Although we adore your little ones, we have decided to keep our wedding an adults-only event. The only exception will be for little ones in the bridal party/immediate family. We hope you understand and enjoy the day off :)
Can I bring my pet to the wedding?
Unfortunately due to allergies we are not allowing pets to attend the wedding.
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Our ceremony is at 12 o'clock. Please arrive no later than 11:30 am to allow for parking and for you to find your seat and get comfy.
If you arrive late you may be asked to wait outside until the ceremony has finished.
Will there be an open-bar at the wedding?
We're excited to celebrate with you, but please note that there won't be an open bar. However, we'll be providing welcome drinks upon arrival, and wine will be served during the wedding breakfast.
Can I pick options from both the non-vegetarian and vegetarian menus?
We understand your interest in choosing from both menus, but unfortunately, as these are set menus, we cannot accommodate individual selections. We hope you'll enjoy the delicious options provided.
Can I take pictures?
We are having an "unplugged ceremony" (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say 'I DO'. We have hired professional photographers, and we'll happily share the photos with you after the wedding.
After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like! We'll also have a photo booth set up in the evening for some fun and memorable shots. We can't wait to see your creative and hilarious pictures!

We've secured 19 en-suite rooms at a special rate for our wedding guests. This includes cottages and suites. Rooms will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Rates start at £139 per night. Please let us know at least 12 weeks before the wedding if you'd like to reserve a room.
Guests will be asked to pay for their rooms upon check-in. Please note, if you fail to check in to a reserved room, you will still be charged the full price
What time is the evening reception scheduled to end?
The bar closes at 11:30 pm for carriages at midnight.
